Why isn't my current location auto-populating?
Make sure OnTheWay has location permission. On iPhone, go to Settings → OnTheWay → Location and choose “While Using the App,” then use the current-location option in OnTheWay.
Why does Google Maps open in a browser?
OnTheWay checks whether the Google Maps app is installed. If it is not available, the handoff may use a browser link instead.
How do I change my preferred navigation app?
Open Preferences → Vehicle & Trip Defaults → Navigation App. Current options include Google Maps, Apple Maps and Waze.
How does tank range work?
Set your vehicle’s approximate range and your preferred refuel point. OnTheWay uses those values to target fuel stops before the tank would be exhausted.
Can I use OnTheWay offline?
An internet connection is required to fetch route data and find nearby stops. Once a trip is planned, the stop list is stored on the device and remains available offline.
How do I opt out of anonymous analytics?
Go to Preferences → Privacy and turn off sharing of anonymous trip data. You can also opt out during the first-launch disclosure.
